Anyone done anything like that or would anyone recommend something different for a young lad.

If you looking for a Safari then you should defenitely look at Kruger park or some of the game reserves in Northern KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa -
You can visit Kenya. There are great parks with wide range of animals. Experience the great wildebeest migration that take place in maasai mara.

After lots of hard graft shovelling dirt and weekend odd jobs managed to get the first little trip in to Metara, Alberobello and Lecce in Italy. Not the sort of places you would think young travellers would go to but my friend loves different/strange architecture and it was incredible. Actually what was needed after working so hard to save up and now even more motivated for the next one.-
Wow those are stunning. Are those cave houses?

This must be one of the most unforgettable moments. On a game drive at a game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and the game ranger spotted a lion stalking a cheetah so gave chase to scare it off. A really incredible moment.
